What did Sycamore OBM do for your business or you?
Holly works on a freelance basis as our business manager, we rely on her to keep an eye on the bigger picture. As CEO my neurodiversity is a huge asset in terms of energy and ideas. Holly is able to harness that electric energy and focus it so that together we can deliver projects effectively. Holly grounds and challenges my thinking in a way that allows me to be the best version of myself.
How has working with Sycamore OBM changed your business?
Cash Flow: Holly restructured our business to improve our cash flow. Before Holly started working with us, cash flow was a really big problem now within 18 months we have an unbelievable balance sitting in the bank.
Securing Contracts: Holly has secured NHS contracts for us which has been a gamechanger in terms of being able to invest in the future of our business. We would not have been able to get that contract if Holly hadn’t been working with us. She saw the internal changed that needed to happen and implemented them in order to get the contract signed.
Company Board: We also now have a board which was a goal I had in my head for a while but Holly made a reality. The board support us, hold us to account, review progress and challenge us to think about future business.

What did Sycamore OBM do for your business or you?
Sycamore provides invaluable support for our virtual festival, which has over 2,000 attendees. We had absolute confidence in their ability to keep our website updated and to manage our mailing lists, with their knowledge of WordPress and Mailerlite platforms. They have excellent communication skills and we trusted them to send out newsletters on our behalf and draft copy for our website.
Last year we ran the festival over Zoom and we asked them to research whether there was a better platform we could be using. They identified 10 alternative providers, asked them all a list of questions and compiled the data in an easy-to-understand format. They understood exactly what we needed and made recommendations, enabling us to make an informed decision about the best way forward for the online festival.

Above all, they are super easy to work with and have taken a weight off our shoulders, without them we would probably have had a nervous breakdown. The £500 we spent on Sycamore was the best £500 we have spent for a while. We have already booked them in to help deliver the festival next year.

We were running a KickStarter campaign to fund finishing a film we were working on. Holly managed our social media before, during and after the campaign was running. She spent time talking to us about how we wanted to come across on social media, what organisations we admired and those we didn’t like online. She put together a plan of each tweet, FB and Instagram post for the period which we then signed off. She also created a Google Business profile for us. She then posted all the social media content during this period.

Holly helped us with a documentary project reorganising some very messy transcription files. We sent Holly 43 excel files and word documents for subtitles. They all needed to be converted into a particular format in excel. The time frames were relatively tight.
