What else should I know ?
What kind of work can my OBM do?
Your OBM can support or take ownership of any administrative and strategic functions or projects that you decide on. These are usually business related, but we can also support with any personal based tasks.
Bringing a diverse skillset, OBMs have the ability to work as your strategic partner, in a wide variety of functions, and always aligned with your mission.
By ‘plugging the gaps’ and working towards your organisational goals, our OBM’s will move your business forward to efficiency, organisation and to scale.
Can I use an Access to Work (AtW) award Support Hours for my OBM?
Yes, in many cases you can use Access to Work (AtW) support hours to work with an Online Business Manager, as long as the support directly helps you overcome work-related barriers linked to a disability or neurodivergence. As every grant is assessed individually, we suggest checking with your adviser, and we can support you with any required information.
AtW funding is designed to remove obstacles that make running your business harder than it needs to be. If executive functioning, organisation, planning, decision fatigue, prioritisation, or operational overwhelm are impacting your ability to work effectively, an OBM can often be considered a practical and reasonable support.
I'm unsure of what I need... can you help?
Our team are well-versed in working with clients to identify key areas of support. Your OBM will work with you to highlight the workflows and actions that will have the most impact for you and your business.
I'm neurodivergent, and I need to work with someone who 'Gets it'?
All of our team have experience of working with neurodivergent people. When you connect with Holly, we can decide on who within our team would be the best fit for you, based on your needs, personality and working style.
Do I need to commit to a minimum number of hours?
We don’t have set minimum packages. We work with you to decide what time is required to carry out the work before any work begins. We will also provide you with a weekly update, detailing all the work completed to date.
We invoice at the end of each month for the work done in that month.
We don’t have a notice period. If you decide that you want to stop working with us, we will just invoice you for the work done to date and once you have paid our relationship ends.
How will I communicate with my OBM?
This will be decided between you and your OBM at your first kick-off meeting. We are always flexible and mindful of our neurodivergent clients who may prefer a specific means of communication.
Can my OBM visit me in person?
We are predominantly a remote service and all of our team work remotely from the UK. At present, we are not offering an in-person OBM service. Some of our clients happen to live near their OBM and in that case if both parties are happy face to face meetings will happen as required.
Do I need to be neurodivergent to work with you?
Not at all. While many of our team have experience supporting neurodivergent business owners and professionals, we work with a wide range of people and businesses across different industries.
Our approach is always tailored to the individual, how they work best, what support they need, and what will help their business run more smoothly.
